High Point Market Recap - Fall ‘24
Another October has come and gone, as well as another High Point Market! I made the bi-annual trip to High Point, North Carolina to attend market. This year was a bit different. As Cameron is two months old, I only spent one day at market, but boy did I make that day count! A little bit of caffeine and comfy (yet cute) sneakers was all it took to squeeze in all our favorite showrooms! For those of you who are new, or who need a quick reminder about High Point Market and why it’s so important to attend - it’s the biggest bi-annual, to-the-trade event for all things interiors, including vendors specializing in furniture, lighting, rugs, case goods, artwork and more. We are able to see and touch product that we source for our client projects which is key in ensuring we love every item we propose. It’s the place to be, and I was happy to make the short drive from Charlotte!
What was most exciting is that there was lots of newness at fall market! I feel like vendors stepped their games up this time around and I left market feeling inspired.
The common themes I saw between showrooms were costal inspired lighting, woven everything, lots of stripes on upholstery, and muted colors and pastels. All are aligned with our design aesthetic and now we’re officially ready to design a beach house! Any takers?!
Enjoy a recap of some of my favorite trends- hopefully my picks leave you as inspired as they left me.
Stripes
We never met a stripe we didn’t like and stripes were another trend at market this year. We saw stripe fabric on sofas, beds and ottomans and loved this pattern in all shapes and sizes!
Light Fixtures
We always source lighting at market and the options this market were 10/10. These were some of our favorites!
Pastels
It was fun to see how vendors incorporated pastels to add interest to their showrooms.
Coastal
When I say I am ready to design a beach house after this past market, I am ready! There were so many great elevated coastal-inspired options.
Leather
We loved how the showrooms incorporated leather in ways that found the perfect masculine/feminine balance.
Mirrors
Mirrors are no longer just circular or rectangular, which makes them so much more fun to source! We saw many different shapes, sizes and materials. Which one do you want on your wall?
